ABOUT CLAUDINE

Greetings! Dripping in Chandeliers is a blog dedicated to being a place that inspires women who love design and home decor. Here I will share my own personal design journey, as well as give ideas and tips on how to bring 'chic' into your everyday life.
I am a devoted second grade teacher, wife to a wonderful husband, mom to my precious son and yellow lab Murphy, music enthusiast (you may see some song lyrics in my blog titles), vanilla chai latte drinker, fashion jewelry collector, and lover of chandeliers and all things gold.
My love affair with interior design began when I was a kid, rearranging the furniture in my bedroom every couple of weeks. That gradually trickled out to other areas of my childhood home, to the point where my parents were coming home surprised to find a newly arranged living room! Next thing I knew, I was helping family members and friends design their homes and pick out decor. I loved every minute of it. I finally took the plunge and enrolled in an interior design program (and I'm a recent grad - woo hoo!). Although it was a challenge to be in school at night while having a full time job, it was the most rewarding experience I've ever had.
My husband and I bought our first home in 2016 and it has been a blast using it to exercise my "design muscle." On this blog, I'll be sharing my own home design projects, ideas and adventures, along with examples of decor that truly inspire me. I truly don't think you have to be a huge DIY-er to make your home a more beautiful place to live. You won't find me reupholstering furniture (can barely sew a button on a shirt) nor will you catch me using power tools (I'd like to keep my limbs). I hope you find my blog encouraging and helpful.
I am so excited to begin this journey with all of you - to learn, teach, try, fail, laugh, and most importantly - GROW. Please comment and share your thoughts with me. I would love to hear from you.
Cheers to following your dreams and passions. It's never too late.
